The Young Democrats France are hosting this fun event next week which will give us a chance to get together and see some of the ads Hillary's Campaign is showing on the airwaves, less than a week before the important votes in Ohio and Texas.
Come out on February 27th and show your support for Hillary among the Democrats.
YDAF Invitation:
The race couldn't be any closer. Are we headed towards a brokered convention? Who are the super delegates and who can become one? Both campaigns are spending millions to bring Americans an onslaught of paid political ads to the airwaves to win that last delegate.
But because we live abroad, we don't get to see the commercials.
So we are bringing them to you on February 27th at Carr's Bar, 1 rue Mont Thabor in the 1st Arrondissement.
Of course you'll see the latest commercials from Hillary's and Obama's campaign. But you'll also get a chance to see the faces that McCain, Huckabee and Romney have put forth on TV screens across the nation in hopes of gaining popularity.
Finally, to put it all in perspective, we'll also show some great moments in campaign history with ads like Johnson's Daisy from 1964, Reagan's Morning in America from 1984 and Bush's Willie Horton from 1988--some arguably changed the outcome of that year's election.
Doors will open at 7PM, and the viewing will take place at about 8:45PM. We expect to show about fifteen minutes of ads with a bare minimum of explanations. By any means this won't be your 7th grade history class.
As Mr. Conall Carr is nice enough to let us use his bar for free, we ask that everyone buy, at least, one drink. There will also be food available for purchase.
So we have an idea of numbers, it would be helpful if you could RSVP at [address removed].
If you need any more information, have questions or ideas about other commercials we could show feel free to email us as well.
